By the time I was 12, I realized that I had a gift for singing, not just a love of it. I began studying with a voice teacher through my teen years, as long my parents could afford it. I lived for choir class during the school day and for church choir on the weekends. Music truly saved me from my teenaged self! I knew that I wanted to provide that sort of safe place for others and decided I would become a music teacher. Directing choirs and coaching private lessons brings me joy and purpose!
